Adds mental health screenings during the postpartum period after giving birth as a covered medical service under Michigan's medical assistance program.

Makes grammatical and structural changes to section 109 of the Social Welfare Act by converting passive voice constructions to active voice (e.g., "services may be provided" to "eligible individuals may receive").

Applies to all medical services listed in section 109, including hospital services, physician services, nursing home services, pharmaceutical services, psychiatric care, and substance use disorder treatment.

Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. ____ (request no. 05579'22) of the 101st Legislature is enacted into law.
