Prohibits school district or public school academy boards from expelling a pupil or susping them for more than 10 school days for actions arising from an incident in which the pupil reports being sexually assaulted or a school official witnesses or receives credible evidence of sexual assault on the pupil.

Encourages boards to follow recommendations from the school's Title IX coordinator when deciding whether to expel or suspend a pupil under this provision.

Exempts students from this protection if they are convicted or adjudicated responsible for specified violent felonies (aggravated assault, homicide, criminal sexual assault, etc.) or if a Title IX investigation determines by clear and convincing evidence that the sexual assault report is conclusively false.

Exempts students if they commit acts described under section 1311(2) of the school code.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment.
