Honors Representative Darrin Camilleri upon the conclusion of his tenure in the Michigan House of Representatives representing the Twenty-third District.

Camilleri was elected in 2016 as Michigan's youngest Latino and first-ever Maltese American elected to the Legislature, serving on committees including Commerce and Trade, Education Reform, Energy Policy, Oversight, Families/Children/Seniors, and Financial Services.

Served as minority vice chair on the Education Committee and Minority Whip for House Democrats; recognized with Progress Michigan's Legislator of the Year (2017), Crain's Detroit's "20 in their 20s," and Michigan Association for Media in Education's Outstanding Legislator Award (2018).

Prior to his election, Camilleri worked as a social studies teacher and held various community service roles including tutor in Ecuador, recreation commissioner, and YMCA advisor.
