Allows applicants to count military service experience toward the minimum 3 years or 6,000 hours of work experience required to take a mechanical contractor license examination, provided they have an honorable discharge or general discharge under honorable conditions.

Requires military applicants to submit an affidavit or letter from a commanding officer, supervisor, or military superior documenting their mechanical contractor experience in relevant classifications.

Credits completion of a 2-year HVAC program from an accredited trade school, community college, university, or U.S. Department of Labor-approved program toward the experience requirement, with a maximum credit of 1 year or 2,000 hours.

Effective immediately upon approval by the Governor on July 29, 2021.
