Amends MCL 600.1910 to modify proof of service requirements in civil procedure by adding a new method for service by non-officer individuals.

Allows proof of service through written acknowledgment signed by the recipient, certificate from sheriffs or deputy sheriffs, or written statement from other individuals verified under penalty of perjury.

Requires non-officer individuals serving process to provide a signed and dated written statement declaring under penalty of perjury that the proof of service contents are true to their best knowledge and belief.

Clarifies that failure to make proof of service does not affect the validity of the service itself.

Takes effect 180 days after enactment (approved March 23, 2022).
