Adds Section 309a to Michigan's court procedures law to establish legislative intent that jury verdicts in civil cases should be respected and enforced with the highest degree of certainty.

Applies only when a party seeks relief from a circuit court judgment based on a jury verdict on grounds including mistake, newly discovered evidence, fraud, void judgment, or other justifiable reasons.

Allows an opposing party to file an automatic appeal to the court of appeals if a circuit court grants relief from a jury verdict judgment, with circuit court proceedings stayed during the appeal.

Requires the court of appeals to take appropriate steps to ensure timely processing of such appeals consistent with appellate court rules.

Takes effect immediately upon approval and applies only to actions, cases, or proceedings commenced after the effective date (September 10, 2021).
