Schools seeking designation must maintain a dedicated website page with information on enrollment, academic planning, available support services, and details about the military liaison position.

Schools must offer a student-led transition program for military-connected pupils and professional development for staff on military-connected student issues.

Schools must implement at least one initiative including: a board resolution supporting military families, monthly recognition events, partnerships with armed forces branches, or student clubs focused on military family engagement.
