Amends the Open Meetings Act (1976 PA 267) to explicitly prohibit the independent citizens redistricting commission from meeting in closed session for any purpose.

Clarifies that the independent citizens redistricting commission for state legislative and congressional districts must conduct all business at open meetings without exception, as required by section 6(10) of article IV of the Michigan Constitution of 1963.

Requires the redistricting commission to conduct meetings in a manner that invites wide public participation throughout the state.

Takes effect immediately upon passage, approved December 23, 2021.
