Prohibits electronic voting systems acquired on or after July 1, 2022 from including parts or equipment from entities with covered communications equipment or services listed on the Federal Communications Commission's website under 47 USC 1601.

Applies the same prohibition to board of state canvassers approval of electronic voting systems acquired after July 1, 2022, preventing approval of systems with prohibited covered communications equipment or services.

Exempts repair, maintenance, or acquisition of components for electronic voting systems acquired and approved before July 1, 2022 from the prohibition.

Makes technical updates to election law by changing "persons" to "individuals" and "shall" to "must" throughout the statutes on voting equipment requirements.

Requires "electronic" to be specified when referring to voting systems in relevant sections to clarify terminology.
