Allows exceptions only when the physical characteristic is an established, bona fide occupational requirement that is reasonably necessary to the position, with the employer bearing the burden of proof.

Prohibits retaliation or discrimination against individuals who file complaints, testify, assist in investigations, or oppose violations of the act.

Provides civil remedies including injunctive relief and damages, with courts awarding costs and reasonable attorney fees to prevailing plaintiffs; voids any waivers of rights under the act.
