Prohibits employers from discharging, refusing to hire, or discriminating against employees based on a known or believed illness or health condition of the employee's family member.

Prohibits employers from inquiring about the physical condition or health status of an employee's family member, with exceptions for verifying sick leave eligibility, family and medical leave eligibility, and processing health coverage claims.

Prohibits retaliation or discrimination against any person who testifies, assists, participates in investigations, or opposes violations of this act.

Voids any employer requirement that employees waive rights under this act, making such waivers invalid and unenforceable.

Allows injured parties to bring civil actions for injunctive relief and damages, with courts awarding costs and reasonable attorney fees to prevailing plaintiffs; applies to collective bargaining agreements and employment agreements entered into on or after the effective date.
