Prohibits Michigan counties from enacting or enforcing laws, ordinances, policies, or rules that limit or prohibit peace officers or local officials from communicating or cooperating with federal officials regarding immigration status.

Requires counties with existing sanctuary policies to comply with this act within 60 days of its effective date; any violating laws, ordinances, policies, or rules are void and unenforceable.

Allows county residents to enforce the act by filing lawsuits in circuit court or submitting complaints to the Attorney General beginning 61 days after the act's effective date.

Authorizes the Attorney General to receive complaints, investigate violations, and bring enforcement actions in circuit court against non-compliant counties.

Requires courts to issue injunctions against violating counties, order repeal or amendment of non-compliant policies, and award actual damages, costs, and reasonable attorney fees to the prevailing party.
