MI SB1127

Modifies the definition of "child" from "a person" to "an individual" under 18 years of age.

Expands the definition of "child abuse" to include harm by another child, in addition to existing categories of perpetrators (parents, guardians, caregivers, teachers, clergy).

Removes the separate definition of "member of the clergy" from subsection (n) and relocates it to subsection (u) to reorganize definitional ordering after deleting the clergy-specific language from the child abuse definition.

Renumbers subsequent definitions (formerly (n) through (u) become (n) through (v)) to accommodate the reorganization.

Makes technical and conforming updates to various definition subsections related to child protective services terminology without substantive changes to their meaning.
