Acknowledges that as of February 23, 2021, more than 15,362 lives have been lost to COVID-19 in Michigan, over 500,000 in the United States, and more than 2.48 million worldwide.

Recognizes the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on low-income communities and communities of color, and acknowledges the unknown long-term health implications for survivors experiencing lingering side effects.

Urges local residents to continue preventative measures including social distancing and following public health orders to mitigate virus spread.

Pays tribute to essential workers who sacrificed their health and safety to provide critical services during the pandemic.
