Designates April 30, 2022, as Invention Convention Michigan Day to recognize the program's contributions to Michigan education and innovation.

Invention Convention Michigan provides grades 3-12 students a STEM-focused opportunity to identify real-world problems and create solutions through an invention competition process.

Nearly 800 students participated in Invention Convention activities in 2021, with over 200 advancing to the state-level competition through local and regional qualifying events at seven university and institutional hubs.

The 2022 Invention Convention Michigan and U.S. nationals competition will be permanently organized and hosted by the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn, Michigan.

Participants include strong representation from female students, students of color, and students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds, judged by professionals across engineering, business, legal, and other fields.
