The small claims division may issue writs of execution after judgment but is prohibited from issuing writs of attachment or garnishment before judgment.

Parties to small claims actions may be represented by an attorney at law in matters related to issuance of execution or other enforcement of judgment.

The state court administrator must prepare plain English instruction sheets explaining how and when plaintiffs may request the court to issue writs of execution, attachment, or garnishment to enforce judgment.

Instruction sheets must be provided to plaintiffs when they receive copies of their judgment, and additional copies must be made available at district court clerk offices.
