Replaces reference to valid marriage as automatic emancipation with emancipation under laws of another state as basis for automatic emancipation by operation of law.

Updates terminology from "person" to "individual," "armed forces of the United States" to "United States Armed Forces," and modernizes references to the social welfare act (1939 PA 280).

Clarifies that parents of court-ordered emancipated minors remain jointly and severally liable for support but are not liable for debts incurred by the minor during emancipation.
