Retains criminal penalties for bestiality (sexual acts with animals): felony punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment, or indeterminate sentence with minimum 1 day and maximum life if offender was a sexually delinquent person at time of offense

Changes prosecution standard for bestiality cases to require only proof of sexual penetration, however slight, without need to prove emission

Updates statutory language for gender-neutral terminology ("individual" instead of "person," "is" instead of "shall")

Takes effect 90 days after enactment
