Amends the Michigan Right to Farm Act to update department name references from "Department of Environmental Quality" to "Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy" throughout the complaint investigation and resolution procedures.

Requires the Michigan Commission of Agriculture and Rural Development to issue proposed generally accepted agricultural and management practices for rearing egg-laying hens in primarily residential areas by September 1, 2023, and adopt them by October 1, 2023.

Establishes standards for egg-laying hen operations in residential areas: property must be at least 1/4 acre in size and cannot exceed 5 hens per 1/4 acre or 25 hens total, whichever is less.

Makes technical corrections to existing language including updating "his or her" to "the director's," "its" to "the," "prior to" to "before the," and "such" to "the."

Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. 4460 is enacted into law.
