Requires health insurers in Michigan to provide equal coverage for telemedicine services as for face-to-face care when services are appropriately provided through telemedicine.

Prohibits insurers from requiring face-to-face contact between health care professionals and patients for services that can be appropriately delivered via telemedicine.

Telemedicine providers must be licensed, registered, or authorized to practice in the state where the patient is located.

Telemedicine services remain subject to all policy terms including copayments, coinsurances, deductibles, and approved amounts.

Applies to health insurance policies delivered, executed, issued, amended, adjusted, or renewed in Michigan beginning on the effective date, with effectiveness 91 days after the 2024 legislative session ends.
