Amends the Public Health Code to add definitions for medication aides, medication aide trainers, and medication aide training programs alongside existing nurse aide provisions.

Defines "medication aide" as a nurse aide registered to administer regularly scheduled medications to nursing home or skilled nursing facility residents under supervision of a registered professional nurse.

Specifies that medication aides cannot administer controlled substances, injectable medications, initial doses, or as-needed medications, and that medication aide practice is not considered nursing.

Defines "qualified educational institution" as degree- or certificate-granting public or private colleges, universities, junior colleges, or community colleges that can offer medication aide training programs.

Effective date is March 7, 2024; takes effect 90 days after enactment and is contingent upon House Bill 4885 of the 102nd Legislature being enacted into law.
