Amends the Michigan Criminal Code sentencing guidelines (MCL 777.16m) to modify offense classifications and sentencing ranges for 47 firearm-related felonies enumerated in Chapter 750.

Changes class designations and statutory maximum sentences for various weapons offenses, including those involving firearms, silencers, armor-piercing ammunition, and electro-muscular disruption devices.

Examples of modified sentences include: discharging a firearm from a vehicle (changes to 10-year maximum), discharging at dwellings or occupied structures (10-year maximum), and possession/sale of firearms by prohibited persons (5-year maximum).

Requires concurrent enactment of Senate Bill No. 471 of the 102nd Legislature as a condition for this act to take effect.

Effective date: February 13, 2024 (approved by Governor on November 20, 2023).
