Amends the "Born Alive Infant Protection Act" (2002 PA 687) to change the definition of "abortion" from cross-referencing the Public Health Code to a standalone definition: a medical treatment intended to terminate a diagnosable intrauterine pregnancy for a purpose other than to produce a live birth

Excludes from the abortion definition the use or prescription of drugs or devices that prevent pregnancy and medical treatment used to remove a dead fetus or embryo from spontaneous abortion

Maintains the existing definition of "live birth" as complete expulsion or extraction of a product of conception showing any evidence of life including breathing, heartbeat, umbilical cord pulsation, or definite movement of voluntary muscles

Removes language requiring the act to be "known and" cited as the "Born Alive Infant Protection Act," changing it to "may be cited as"

Bill does not take effect unless Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. 4950 of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law (tie-bar provision)
