Amends section 1810 of the Occupational Code (1980 PA 299) to specify penalties for funeral directors and embalmers who violate professional conduct standards.

Establishes that licensees are subject to penalties for soliciting dead bodies, using cappers or solicitors, paying commissions for business, aiding unlicensed practitioners, and using profane language around deceased persons or their families.

Prohibits licensees from accepting commissions for recommending crematory, mausoleum, or cemetery services; using previously-used caskets; and entering agreements making the funeral establishment a beneficiary of insurance policies.

Requires funeral establishment owners to train employees in medical waste handling standards as prescribed by the department in consultation with the Department of Health and Human Services.

Takes effect February 13, 2024, contingent on Senate Bill No. 474 of the 102nd Legislature being enacted into law.
