Allows prescribers and pharmacists to dispense opioid antagonists to patients at risk of overdose, family members, friends, or designated individuals positioned to assist.

Permits non-individual entities (such as agencies under the Administration of Opioid Antagonists Act) to obtain and distribute opioid antagonists if acting at a prescriber's direction and storing them in compliance with regulations.

Requires prescribers or pharmacists to list the agency or person's name as the "patient" when issuing prescriptions for opioid antagonists to entities or non-patients.

Provides liability protection for prescribers, dispensing prescribers, and pharmacists who properly store and dispense opioid antagonists under this section.

Effective April 2, 2025, conditioned upon enactment of House Bill No. 5077 of the 102nd Legislature.
