Allows individuals to request a new birth certificate showing a sex designation other than that designated at birth using only a form approved by the director, without requiring additional documents or certification.

Permits a court order changing an individual's name to be filed with a sex designation change request, with the new certificate reflecting both the new legal name and sex designation.

Exempts sex designation change requests from the requirement that a court order must specifically direct the state registrar to create a new certificate and seal the original.

Effective date is April 2, 2025.
