Creates the Michigan Board of Medical Assistants with 15 members, including 8 state licensed medical assistants, 2 healthcare providers (physician, chiropractor, or podiatric physician), 2 nurse practitioners, 2 physician assistants, and 1 public member, with staggered terms of 2-4 years.

Requires individuals to obtain a state license to practice medical assisting beginning January 1, 2025, and restricts use of titles "medical assistant," "clinical assistant," "state licensed medical assistant," "L.M.A.," or "M.A." to licensed individuals.

Establishes licensure requirements including completion of accredited postsecondary training in medical assisting covering anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, laboratory techniques, and clinical experience, plus certification from AAMA, AMT, NCMA, or equivalent.

Sets licensing fees at $10.00 for application processing and $50.00 annually for license renewal.

Requires continuing education hours approved by the board and courses in pain and symptom management for license renewal; allows individuals practicing medical assisting during the 2 years before January 1, 2025 to obtain licensure by demonstrating prior practice experience.
