Adds new sentencing guidelines categories for crimes involving harm to companion animals, including discharge of firearms, cutting or stabbing, and exposure to harmful substances.

Assigns 15 points if a firearm was discharged at or toward a companion animal or a companion animal was cut or stabbed with a knife or other cutting or stabbing weapon.

Assigns 10 points if a companion animal was subjected to harmful biological, chemical, or radioactive devices/substances or incendiary or explosive devices.

Assigns 5 points if a companion animal was touched by any other type of weapon.

Requires the bill to take effect only if Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. 5588 is enacted into law.
