MI HB5604

Amends the Grade A milk law to allow unpasteurized milk and unpasteurized milk products to be sold to final consumers and food service establishments if they comply with section 70a of the manufacturing milk law of 2001.

Maintains the existing requirement that pasteurized milk and milk products are the only products that can be offered for sale to final consumers, restaurants, and grocery stores, except as provided in the new subsection (5).

Updates statutory language throughout section 68 by replacing "shall" with "can," "must," or "may" for consistency with modern drafting standards.

Corrects regulatory references to federal food and drug administration rules by spelling out "United States Food and Drug Administration" in full and changing "part" to "parts" where applicable.

Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. 5603 of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law.
