MI HB5606

Adds definition of "advanced nuclear reactor technologies" to include material improvements to nuclear facilities with enhanced safety features compared to reactors operating before January 1, 2016.

Advanced nuclear reactor technologies encompasses both advanced nuclear reactors as defined in 42 USC 16271 and existing nuclear-powered electricity generating facilities that completed life cycle management programs and benefited from federal research and development programs.

Renumbers existing definitions in section 10h from (a)-(m) to (b)-(n) to accommodate the new advanced nuclear reactor definition as subsection (a).

Replaces "shall" with "must" in the definition of "securitization charges" as a technical correction.

Bill takes effect only if both HB 5608 and HB 5609 are enacted into law during the 102nd Legislature (tie-barred bills).
