Requires all individuals mandated to report child abuse or neglect under section 3 to complete training every 3 years on recognizing child abuse and neglect and understanding mandated reporting obligations.

Changes language in the Child Protection Law from "pursuant" to "according" and replaces "assure" with "ensure" for clearer statutory language.

Changes references from "child abuse and neglect" to "child abuse or child neglect" and from "persons responsible" to "a person responsible" for grammatical consistency.

Adds "child" before "neglect" in subsection (3) regarding public dissemination of information about prevention and treatment methods.

Effective only upon enactment of Senate Bill or House Bill 5610 of the 102nd Legislature.
