Adds temporary license option for international medical school graduates who completed medical education outside the U.S. or Canada, practiced medicine for at least 1 year in another country, obtained Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates certification, and passed steps 1 and 2 of the United States Medical Licensing Examination

Temporary license valid for 2 years and renewable once, requires full-time employment under supervision of a fully licensed physician at a federally qualified health center, hospital, or board-approved facility that assesses the applicant's clinical and nonclinical skills

Allows temporary license holders who have held the license for 2 years and passed step 3 of the United States Medical Licensing Examination to obtain a limited license to practice unsupervised in medically underserved areas for 2 years, renewable once

Permits temporary license holders to apply for a full license after 2 years of safe and competent practice under the limited license, as an alternative pathway to the existing 10-year experience requirement

Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. 5612 is enacted into law
