Updates the definition of "school safety commission" to reference the school safety and mental health commission created under the comprehensive school safety plan act, effective January 1, 2025.

Requires school district boards, public school academy boards, and nonpublic school governing bodies to designate a liaison to work with the school safety commission and office of school safety to identify model practices for school safety measures.

Maintains existing requirements for school boards to annually report expulsions to the superintendent of public instruction and post crime incident reports on their websites, disaggregated by school building and shared with parents.

Repeals section 1308a of the revised school code.

Takes effect April 2, 2025, contingent upon the enactment of House Bill 5659.
