Requires employers to provide suitable seats (chairs, stools, benches, or similar objects with back support) to employees performing work at employer-controlled locations when reasonably feasible.

Allows employers to place suitable seats in close proximity to work areas if it is not reasonable for employees to use them while actively performing work; employers cannot prohibit seat use during non-work periods.

Establishes civil fines of $250 per aggrieved employee per 2-week violation period, enforceable by county prosecutors or the attorney general with fines deposited to the general fund.

Authorizes the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity to promulgate rules implementing the act.

Applies the act to existing collective bargaining agreements and employment agreements only upon their expiration, termination, amendment, extension, or renewal.
