Amends Michigan Penal Code Section 239 to require the Department of State Police director to destroy all forfeited firearms instead of allowing disposition at the director's discretion.

Director must check the law enforcement information network to determine if forfeited firearms were reported lost or stolen, and provide 30 days' written notice to owners if they can be identified.

Director must post a 30-day public notice on the Department of State Police website listing firearm descriptions and serial numbers, allowing authorized owners to claim firearms during this period.

The 30-day notice period for identified owners and the 30-day public notice period run consecutively, giving a total of 60 days before destruction occurs.

Grants the Department of State Police civil liability immunity for destroying firearms in compliance with this section; effective April 2, 2025.
