Expands threat categories in the address confidentiality program to include "harassment" in addition to threats of being physically harmed, applying to individuals, minors, and wards.

Adds option for applicants to select that they fear abuse or harassment without requiring the department of the attorney general to consider this information when certifying program participants.

Replaces gender-specific pronouns ("he or she") with gender-neutral language ("the individual" or "the program participant's") throughout the statute.

Narrows the sex offender registration act reference from MCL 28.721 to 28.736 to MCL 28.721 to 28.730, potentially limiting which registered offenders are excluded from program eligibility.
