Amends the Age of Majority Act of 1971 to clarify that individuals 18 years of age or older have the same legal rights and responsibilities as those who previously turned 21 before January 1, 1972.

Modifies Section 2 to allow courts to order support payments for individuals 18 years of age or older under specified family law statutes including the child custody act, family support act, and paternity act.

Updates Section 3 to supersede laws that prescribed different duties, liabilities, and rights for individuals aged 18-20 compared to those 21 and older, with detailed references to specific former and current statutes.

Excludes the nicotine and tobacco act (1915 PA 31, MCL 722.641 to 722.645) from the provisions that equalize legal capacity at age 18, preserving age-of-majority restrictions for tobacco products.

Makes this amendment contingent on enactment of a companion bill (Senate Bill No. ___ or House Bill No. ___ from the 102nd Legislature, request no. 00975'23).
