Expands personal protection order eligibility in MCL 600.2950 to include "another family member" (defined as parent, son/daughter, sibling, grandparent, grandchild, uncle/aunt, or first cousin) alongside existing categories of spouses, former spouses, parents of shared children, dating partners, and household members.

Modifies MCL 600.2950a to allow courts to issue stalking protection orders based on a single act of stalking rather than requiring a course of conduct, while still permitting relief regardless of criminal charges or convictions.

Updates animal cruelty provisions in MCL 600.2950 by changing reference from section 50(11) to section 50(12) of the Michigan penal code regarding lawful killing or use of animals.

Replaces gender-specific pronouns ("he or she") throughout both sections with gender-neutral language ("the petitioner," "the respondent," "the individual").

Corrects a statutory reference in MCL 600.2950a(28) from "years old" to "years of age" for consistency with existing statute language.
