Amends the definition of "animal control shelter" and "animal protection shelter" to reference section 1 of 1969 PA 287 for definitions and section 4 of 1969 PA 287 for licensing requirements instead of section 6.

Updates the definition of "dog" to specify "a domestic dog of any age" of the species Canis lupus familiaris with corrected scientific nomenclature.

Updates the definition of "pet shop" to reference section 4 of 1969 PA 287 instead of section 3 for licensing requirements.

Updates the definition of "veterinarian" to reference part 188 of the public health code instead of article 15, with corrected MCL citations (333.18801 to 333.18838).

Updates the definition of "wolf" to specify "any age of" and corrects scientific nomenclature formatting for Canis rufus and Canis lupus.

This amendatory act does not take effect unless Senate Bill No. ____ or House Bill No. ____ (request no. 06071'24) is enacted into law.
