House Resolution 324 is a tribute to Representative Nate Shannon recognizing his service to Michigan constituents in the Twenty-fifth and Fifty-eighth Districts, which include portions of Warren, Sterling Heights, Utica, and Shelby Township.

Shannon held a bachelor's degree in political science from Oakland University and a master's degree in secondary education from Wayne State University, and worked as a high school teacher with L'Anse Creuse Public Schools while serving on the Sterling Heights City Council.

Elected to the House of Representatives in 2018, Shannon served as chair of the Transportation, Mobility and Infrastructure Committee and as a member of committees on Education, Energy, Local Government and Municipal Finance, and Natural Resources, Environment, Tourism and Outdoor Recreation.

The resolution commends Shannon for his dedication and integrity as a public servant and strong leader throughout his tenure in the legislature.
