Removes language prohibiting parents or guardians from consenting to marriage of a child under the legal age of marriage under the Safe Families for Children Program.

Allows temporary delegation of parental powers regarding care, custody, or property of a minor child for up to 180 days through power of attorney.

Extends the delegation period until 31 days after deployment ends if the parent or guardian is serving in the United States Armed Forces and deployed to a foreign nation.

Maintains prohibitions on delegating powers to consent to adoption, abortion, or termination of parental rights.

Effective July 12, 2023.
