Allows insurance producers to carry over excess continuing education hours (maximum 12 hours) completed beyond the required 24 hours to the next 2-year license renewal period, effective after June 30, 2018.

Permits insurance producers to earn up to 4 credit hours toward the 24-hour continuing education requirement through active membership and participation in approved professional insurance associations, effective for review dates after December 31, 2024.

Requires professional insurance associations seeking to offer continuing education credit to be approved as providers by the director and must submit articles of incorporation; associations must certify member participation and dues-paying status.

Clarifies that ethics in insurance hours and duplicate coursework cannot be carried over to subsequent renewal periods, and association credits do not count toward the required 3 hours of ethics training.

Grants the director authority to approve any activity as continuing education credit toward the 24-hour requirement for review dates after December 31, 2024.
