Allows districts to count days lost to ransomware attacks as instructional days, beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, after using allocated days for other uncontrollable conditions.

Defines ransomware attacks to include crypto ransomware, lockers, scareware, doxware/leakware, and ransomware-as-a-service that cause districts to shut down due to network disconnection and disabled phone and fire alarm systems.

Changes language from "failing" to "that fails" and "through" to "to" in various sections for grammatical consistency.

Makes the act retroactive and effective June 1, 2023.
