Allows funeral establishment owners to directly or indirectly own, manage, operate, or maintain a crematory, provided the crematory is not owned or operated by any person that also owns, manages, operates, or maintains a cemetery.

Adds definitions for "cemetery," "crematory," and updates terminology throughout the mortuary science licensing statute to use gender-neutral language (e.g., "licensee" instead of "licensed person," "individual" instead of "he or she").

Permits holders of courtesy licenses (issued to mortuary science professionals licensed in Indiana, Ohio, or Wisconsin) to directly or indirectly own, manage, operate, maintain, or be employed by a crematory in Michigan.

Requires written disclosure to consumers before a licensee receives a commission for referring them to a crematory, mausoleum, or cemetery.

Effective only if Senate Bills 445 and 446 of the 102nd Legislature are also enacted (tie-bar provision).
