Vehicle operators must maintain a minimum distance of 200 feet when following a snowplow, except when legally overtaking or passing.

Vehicle operators who are not operating a snowplow must stop at least 20 feet away from a snowplow that is stopped at or in an intersection.

Defines "snowplow" as a vehicle operated by the state, county, county road commission, or municipality that is actively engaged in snow and ice removal, snowplowing, salting, or sanding and operating specified lights.

Violation of these requirements constitutes a civil infraction.

Act takes immediate effect as of July 8, 2024.
