Prohibits persons convicted of felonies from possessing, using, transporting, selling, purchasing, carrying, shipping, receiving, or distributing firearms for 3 years after completing all fines, imprisonment, and probation/parole conditions.

Extends the firearm prohibition to 5 years for persons convicted of "specified felonies" (involving use or threat of physical force, controlled substances, unlawful firearm possession, explosives, or burglary/arson of occupied dwellings) and requires restoration of rights under MCL 28.424.

Prohibits persons convicted of misdemeanors involving domestic violence from possessing firearms or ammunition for 8 years after completing all fines, imprisonment, and probation conditions.

Creates the same 3-year and 5-year ammunition possession prohibitions as firearms, with matching conditions and the specified felony requirements.

Establishes felony penalties of up to 5 years imprisonment or $5,000 fine for violations; defines "misdemeanor involving domestic violence" to include assault, domestic abuse, and equivalent offenses under state, local, or federal law.
