Allows electric battery-powered vehicles with a gross weight of 82,000 pounds or less to exceed standard axle load limits by up to 2,000 pounds total across all axles to account for battery weight.

Permits natural gas-powered vehicles with a gross weight of 82,000 pounds or less to exceed axle load limits by an amount equal to the difference between natural gas tank/fueling system weight and comparable diesel system weight, with a maximum 2,000-pound total allowance.

Maintains all existing weight restrictions, seasonal load limits, and exemptions for agricultural commodities, public utilities, milk haulers, and other specified vehicles.

Effective date: 91 days after final adjournment of the 2024 Regular Session (Sine Die).
