Amends Michigan Criminal Code section 768.27c to allow hearsay statements describing physical injury or threats against a declarant in domestic violence and human trafficking cases.

Statements must be made at or near the time of the injury or threat, within 5 years of the current action, and under circumstances indicating trustworthiness to be admissible.

Requires statements to be made to a law enforcement officer and expands the definition of "infliction or threat of physical injury" to include controlling access to controlled substances and schemes intended to cause psychological, reputational, or financial harm.

Mandates prosecutors disclose such evidence to defendants at least 15 days before trial or at a later time approved by the court for good cause.

Effective date is 91 days after final adjournment of the 2024 Regular Session; applies to trials and evidentiary hearings commenced or in progress on or after May 1, 2006.
