Adds Lake Superior State University to institutions whose governing boards may obtain licenses for alcoholic liquor sales on university-owned land designated for community development or conference activities, provided the license was originally acquired at fair market value.

Designates specific buildings at Lake Superior State University (Walker Cisler Center, James Norris Events Center, and Richard and Theresa Barch Center for Freshwater Research and Education) as eligible conference centers for alcoholic liquor licensing.

Adds the John G. Kulhavi Events Center at Central Michigan University to the list of designated conference centers where alcoholic liquor may be sold under existing licensing provisions.

All licenses issued under these provisions remain nontransferable and require payment of applicable fees under existing statute.

Takes immediate effect upon passage and approval by the governor on July 23, 2024.
