Extends the sunset date for court costs unrelated to specific cases from May 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026, allowing courts to continue imposing costs for salaries, goods/services, and facility operations without separate case calculations.

Courts may impose these general operational costs on defendants convicted of crimes only until December 31, 2026, at which point this authority expires unless further extended.

Requires courts to provide defendants with information about all imposed fines, costs, and assessments, though specific case-by-case cost calculations are not required.

Mandates annual reporting by court clerks to the state court administrative office detailing the number of cases with imposed costs, total amounts imposed, and amounts collected under this provision.

Takes effect only if Senate Bill No. 814 of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law.
